Is potable reuse resilient?

Using data taken from seven AWTPs from around the world with a cumulative operating history of 64 years, the resilience research modelled events that potentially impact water production and/or water quality over a 10-year period and provided insights into optimum operation of a plant for safety and reliability. The resilience modelling concluded that AWTPs were mechanically resilient and capable of reliably producing high quality water for IPR applications with little risk to public safety.

The sustainability research reviewed the application of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to an urban water system in Australia to examine the relative sustainability of one supply option compared to another against a range of environmental sustainability indicators.
